Partnering with Waypoints is easy and is a pretty laid-back process. Yes, there’s some paperwork and numbers and legal stuff, but we’ll walk you through everything and answer any questions you have along the way!

Is my business right for a Waypoint?

We’re interested in partnering with business owners that have properties of all kinds. We cater the offerings at each location to best position the site to increase foot traffic and on-site sales.

What utilities are required?

Although utilities are not mandatory, we recommend providing at least basic access to electricity and water. Without these amenities, many nomads may choose alternative accommodations. If these utilities are unavailable at your business, it will need other attractive features, such as an excellent location or exceptional property characteristics, to appeal to potential visitors.

Do I need showers, laundry and toilets?

Again, not required, but absolutely appreciated by the nomad community. This also, again, increases the likelihood of consistent booking.

Does my property always need to be available?

We have a wide variety of ways you can be involved with Waypoints. You can be a full makerspace location offering the ability to use tools and do projects, you can be a “stay” location offering a spot to stay for short or long term but not necessarily do work on the rig, or you can even be an event host location for our Rolling Revolution trade show series.

Do I have to be on-site?

If you’re just acting as an event host site, no. We provide comprehensive support and resources to ensure events runs smooth without your constant presence.

However, if guests are actively staying on-site, you might need to be available, but there are flexible options. As a business owner, you can choose to handle on-site operations yourself, provide more-than-seasonal employment opportunities, or take advantage of our Work Camper Program. This program allows you to have a nomad in a site-manager capacity, managing day-to-day operations and ensuring everything runs smoothly. This way, you can maintain a presence without being physically on-site at all times.

Assesment

We start with a quick conversation to determine what you have to offer as far as property, amenities, tools, power, etc. and what we offer as a company and the benefits we bring to the table.

Planning

Once the agreements are all signed, we move onto planning out the Waypoint and getting the property ready for the public. Many times this includes work campers helping get things done.

Launch

Once we get the property to where it needs to be to open to the general public, we’ll blast it all over the internet and socials to make sure everyone knows about it.

Profit

The hard work is done, well mostly, now it’s just about keeping things running efficiently and keeping your guests happy. This turns into dollars in your pocket.
