Wanderlust Waypoints: Baker Mountain is sitting in the Cumberland Plateau of the Appalachian Mountain Range. Centrally located between Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga we are positioned to be a great stop on any journey through the east side of the country.

Powered sites, fresh mountain spring water, all the tools you can think of, and space to work on your skoolie, tiny house, RV, van conversion, or any other nomadic rig.

STAY

Baker Mountain currently has 12 available sites for rigs of all sizes. We have powered sites and boondocking sites available as well. We have cabins available for rent if you’re not quite ready to live in-rig full time just yet.

Our makerspace boasts a community gathering space, community bathroom and shower, community laundry, and a fully stocked tool room.

To provide a safe place and a secure environment for all our guests and families, we require some paperwork and we run a background check on anyone staying on-site overnight. Late check in

BUILD

Our CEO lives at this location as does their family rig, the Wanderlust Bus. With that are all the tools that were needed for their build. Fully stocked woodshop, hand tools, automotive tools, CNC and everything in-between.

Lowes is 15 minutes away for supply runs and we’ve established a relationship with the Mennonite community up the road to get great deals on everything from organic food to building supplies.

Learn

Being in the middle of the Appalachian mountains offers a wide range of ways to enrich your mind, body, and spirit. Activities for families are abundant as well.

Spend some time at some of the State Parks, visit the Appalachian Center for Craft and see some of the amazing folks who produce outstanding art of all kinds. Visit Cannonsburgh Village, a representation of life in TN 100+ years ago. There are memorials, museums, and attractions within an hours drive in major cities like Cookeville, Chattanooga, Manchester and Murfreesboro.

No matter what you’re interested, with our central location, you can get to almost anything you’d like to do.

Play

On-site, we have nearly 10 acres of mountain woods to explore. We also have a pond that may or may not be in a condition to swim in depending on when you visit. We’re working on improving the entertainment options here and we welcome any suggestions. (I really want to put in a zip line… lol)

For two weeks each June, our woods light up with fireflies in an amazing way. If you’ve never experienced the lightshow that comes with seeing the Synchronized Fireflies of the Great Smokey Mountains, we highly recommend you add it to your list.

Off site you can get your fill of nature activites 15 minutes in any direction. Fall Creek Falls State Park, Rock Island State Park, and Cumberland Caverns are just around the corner and offer every nature-based activity imaginable.

Within around an hour you can get to lots of major metropolitan areas including Cookeville, Manchester, Murfreesboro, and Chattanooga so your options are pretty much limitless to play in your off time.
