Wanderlust Waypoints: Ozark Mountains is located in the majestic Ozark Mountain Range near the southern border of Missouri just 20 miles north of the Arkansas state line. With nature trails, educational opportunities and tons of other things within a short drive from the location, it’s the perfect spot in the middle of the country to let your skoolie’s wheels cool down and finish that project you’re getting nagged about.
Limited number of powered sites, tons of boondocking sites, all the tools you can think of, and space to work on your skoolie, tiny house, RV, van conversion, or any other nomadic rig.
Ozark Mountains currently has a large number of boondocking sites and we are working to expand approximately 30 concrete pad sites with up to 30 amp hookups.
Our on-site tool availability includes wood, metal, and general contracting tools that you can use to get things built, fixed, and created.
To provide a safe place and a secure environment for all our guests and families, we require some paperwork and we run a background check on anyone staying on-site overnight. Late check in
Our build facilities at Ozark mountains include woodworking tools, metalworking tools, and an assortment of general contracting tools to allow you to get most any project you want to handle accomplished.
A community of nomads comes and goes so you never know who will be on site to help with your projects.
Being in the middle of the Ozark Mountains offers a wide range of ways to enrich your mind, body, and spirit. Activities for families are abundant as well.
You can visit the Laura Ingles Wilder Historic Home and Museum about an hour from us. Rocky Ridge Farm, as it’s also called, was the home of the author of the Little House on the Prairie series, Wilder began writing the series while living there.
West Plains, 30 minutes away, offers museums, historic attractions and more. No matter what you’re interested, with our central location, you can get to almost anything you’d like to do.
On-site there are nearly 45 acres of rugged Ozark Mountains. You can explore nature and check out all the flora and fauna that are abundant around the property.
Hodgson Mill up the road is perfect for taking amazing photos and has some of the clearest water you’ve ever seen.
West Plains is only 30 minutes away and offers tons of things for families, couples, and individuals including attractions, shopping, and restaurants. The West Plains Aquatic Center offers a great place to cool off when it’s hot with water slides and activities.
